Breath is life. From the moment that we take our very first life-giving breath, until the moment that life leaves the body, our breath is a constant, faithful and trusted companion that acts as a bridge between the physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual aspects of our being.
Breathing is both completely automatic and can also be brought completely under our control, offering us a wonderful opportunity to master the body-mind system and enhance performance across all areas of our lives.

Introducing our primary and secondary breathing muscles
Addressing two of the most common breathing disorders (chest breathing and hyperventilation) their causes, consequences and how to dismantle these patterns
Learning how to breathe more deeply
Learning about the physiology and mechanics of diaphragmatic breathing (also known as “belly breathing”)
Busting two myths about the belly
Discovering the many benefits of diaphragmatic breathing, both physically and emotionally
Learning about the vocal and pelvic diaphragms and how they interact with the thoracic diaphragm as we breathe
Training diaphragmatic breathing and deepening the breath
Using extended pauses in the breathing rhythm as a “reset button”
Who will Benefit?
This session will be especially helpful for people who tend to breathe high up in their chests, using their shoulders and neck muscles and have a a short, shallow breathing pattern. Also people who experience tightness in their abdomen as they breathe or chronic tension in their upper back, shoulders and neck. And on an emotional level, people who experience feelings of stress, anxiety, fear, nervousness or overwhelm.
